Selective hand-picking of healthy grapes from a 45-year-old vineyard in the Bischofsberg vineyard in the old “Kuhweg” cadastral district. Natural pre-clarification for 24 hours and then spontaneous fermentation in 1200-liter wooden barrels until the beginning of January. Aged on the fine lees in wooden barrels until mid-July, then filtered once before bottling.
“Petras Lieblingsweinberg” shows once again what has made the Bischofsberg site in the old core area the local mountain of Rüdesheim, when old vines and small yields come together! Deep depth with playful aromas of acidity and small fruit sugar components. Ideal with Asian food, cheese or on its own for stimulating hours.
