Organic certification since 2022
With constant work on transforming our work processes in the vineyard, we are very proud to have acquired our organic certification with the 2022 harvest. To now be able to apply this to our philosophy of wine growing is a significant step for us and underlines our commitment to sustainable viticulture.

THE Vaulted Cellar
OUR HEART
VINOTHEK & GUTSAUSSCHANK have a complete cellar and are connected with historical 130-year-old vaults. Here you will find the heart of the making of our wines.
With the glass in hand, the guest of the vinotheque descends the spiral staircase directly into the world of our work, as the first stage the world of the SPÄTBURGUNDER:
33 small traditional barrique barrels serve the decelerated development of each vintage in its natural maturation process. We give the wine and every single barrel its TIME, which is why our Pinot Noir are only presented to our wine friends one to two years after the Riesling.
Behind these barrique barrels are our larger Pinot Noir wines, the EDITION, almost all vintages from the last 30 years, in magnum bottles and double magnum, on various brick shelves.

This vaulted corridor under the room is lined with some stainless steel tanks in containers of 1200 l and less.
Behind it, in keeping with tradition, the StückFassKeller as KÖNUNG!
1200 l BARRELS made of German oak, 20 in number, made in old craftsmanship by a manufacturer located in Germany’s smallest wine-growing region – the Saale Unstrut.
Every single Riesling vineyard from its old one ORIGINAL PITCH Enjoy here with serenity, time and tranquility, separately in your own barrel, the development of your grapes into a natural and vintage-typical wine: ours RHEINGAU ORIGINAL ! This is done under the supervision and observation of the winemaker himself, who is largely responsible for the careful work in the vineyard and for the careful development of the wines.
The last stage of your tour takes you to our wine press hall above as the first stop for the grapes. Here you can admire the new BASKET PRESS, which corresponds even more to the way our grandfathers work, and which we have been practicing again for several years.
